PATNA: Activist Anna Hazare on Wednesday announced he was forming a 'Jantantra Morcha' to fight for people's rights.
"We have decided to form a country-wide organisation, Jantantra Morcha," Hazare said at a rally at the Gandhi Maidan here after delivering an oath to hundreds of people.
Hazare, who arrived here on Tuesday, said the morcha will work for people's causes.
Bihar chief minister Nitish Kumar on Wednesday expressed support to Hazare and said he favoured a 'jan andolan' (people's movement) to strengthen democracy in India.
Nitish Kumar praised Hazare to "awaken" the people in the country. "Anna Hazare is doing good work," he told the media here.
